Dust extraction using blowing and suction air

Keep surfaces clean from dust and paricles with vacuum extraction

Dust Extraction

Static electricity causes great concern when it comes to keeping surfaces dust-free, or more correctly expressed free from unwanted particles.

In cases where the material surfaces have to be cleaned Swedish Electrostatics offers a variety of vacuum equipments in which we integrate the elimination of static electricity via discharging with blowing and suction air in a vacuum nozzle or vacuum ramp.

  • Handheld devices are used to clean mechanical components and equipments or parts on production lines where a fixed installationis not possible. Two standard nozzles are available, the circular nozzle VEB121 and the oblonged vacuum nozzle VEB221.

  • The vacuum portal is a standalone device that can be integrated in the most diverse production flows such as manufacturing of automotive glass, plastic tiles, floor coverings, wood fiber boards, etc.

  • In many machines it is perfectly fine to integrate the vacuum cleaning ramps for continuous vacuum extraction e.g. plastic films, board sheets, glass-plates, paper webs, etc. Among vacuum ramps for fixed installations may include among others the narrower ramp CHBS11 and the wider CHBS21. In some cases vacuum ramps must be customer adapted (eg support wheels) to current needs or to fit into existing machines.

Please read more about static electricity and dust any of the articles under section articles and applications.

The vacuum nozzle VEB121 is designed for manual dust suction of material surfaces which are not suitable for vacuuming at a fixed installation.
The vacuum nozzle has an integrated blowing nozzle BHAC21 as blowing ionized air on the material surface which discharge and blow away the loads of loose particles from the surface.
By the blowing nozzle is embedded within the vacuum nozzle, the detached particles are immediately sucked away.
In order to operate the equipment, a power unit PUAC114 or any type of integrated air handling such as PUAC122-IAC is used.
VEB121 is attached to a power unit via the embedded high voltage cable HVC11 and the air is blown through the air tubing AH12.
As with most vacuum cleaning equipments VEB121 can be connected to high vacuum cleaning equipment which may be a small stand-alone unit or a central vacuum cleaning system.

The vacuum nozzle VEB221 is designed for manual dust-suction of flat material surfaces which are not suitable for vacuuming at a fixed installation.

CHBS11 is a vacuum ramp for permanent installation in machines such as label pressure presses, converting machines, grinders, etc.. The ramp is manufactured in conveyors up to 500mm. For wider conveyors we recommend primarily to the wider vacuum ramp CHBS21.
CHBS11 consists of a suction box with connection sleeve coupling for a vacuum connection to high vacuum system. The ramp is integrated with a blowing antistatic bar ABACA21 which gives an effective discharging while the blowing air blowing away the particles from the material surface so that they can be sucked away.

CHBS11 serie can also be provided with wheels. The advantage of wheels is that vacuuming is done at a defined distance from the material, i.e to prevent clogging of vacuum suction, and adjust the ramp to the height variations in the material surface and the conveyor.
